Balev 304L® has a good resistance to atmospheric corrosion, as the high chromium content of the material provides resistance to oxidizing solutions such as nitric acid up to 55% weight and up to 176°F (80°C). Balev 304L® can also operate successfully in caustic solutions free of chlorides.
Centravis's Balev 304L® and Balev 316L® offer superior formability compared to traditional Duplex steels, making them ideal for complex designs and precision applications.
Manufactured with advanced heat treatment technologies, Balev 304L® and Balev 316L® ensure a stable, fully austenitic microstructure for consistent performance.
Both grades exhibit excellent weldability without the need for post-weld heat treatment, maintaining non-magnetic properties throughout all conditions.
Built to outperform in the toughest environments
NIKOPOLIUM™ NP 2205 and NP 2507 are engineered with Centravis proprietary grain boundary engineering and advanced heat treatment technologies. This unique approach enhances corrosion resistance to a level comparable with premium Nickel Alloys, while preserving the mechanical strength and cost efficiency of duplex stainless steels.
Proven reliability in aggressive media
In ASTM G48 immersion tests, NP 2205 resists pitting 10 °C higher than standard duplex (UNS S31803), while NP 2507 withstands 5 °C more than super duplex (UNS S32750). Both grades also surpass Aramco 01-SAMSS-047 requirements for intergranular corrosion (ASTM G28, Method A), ensuring long-term durability in demanding environments such as offshore structures, chemical processing plants, and high-pressure oil & gas systems.
Microstructural Stability
Enhanced microstructure is designed by means of the advanced grain boundary engineering with the near-ideal phase distribution and special grain boundaries ensuring consistent strength, toughness and improved resistance to corrosion in demanding service environments.

Performance-Driven
Combines tensile strength, impact toughness (–60 °C), and CPT/CCT above standard grades.
Commercially Viable
Displaces Alloy 625, C-276 in many use cases at a fraction of the cost.
Advanced microstructural refinement
The improved, recrystallized microstructure resists phase transformation, enhances resistance to pitting and intergranular corrosion, and supports durability under extreme thermal and corrosive conditions.

In critical environments, engineers often face a dilemma: settle for standard duplex and risk early failure, or use nickel alloys like Alloy 625 or C-276 – which significantly increase project cost.

1. Thinner Wall Designs High strength = less material needed.
Result: Reduces weight, material, and transport cost
3. Lower Alloying Costs Reduced nickel, molybdenum, copper.
Result: More stable pricing and supply chain risk mitigation allographic orientation confirming uniformity”
2. Longer Service Life Excellent resistance to corrosion and fatigue.
Result: Fewer shutdowns, repairs, and replacements
“With NIKOPOLIUM, we lower nickel content to just ~4.5–6.5% in NP 2205 and ~6–8% in NP 2507, compared to 60%+ in traditional Ni-based alloys. This significantly reduces environmental impact, minimizes reliance on critical raw materials, and supports more stable, ethical, and sustainable supply chains. Combined with compatibility for low-emission AOD steelmaking and the ability to achieve thinner, stronger wall designs, NIKOPOLIUM sets a new benchmark in efficiency and sustainability.”
